Hi! My name is Ash
Hi there, I'm Ash! I have a unique combination of skills as I obtained two diplomas in Food Preparation and Patisserie Studies at a culinary school in Johannesburg before moving to Pretoria to chase my dream of being a Dietitian. After qualifying with a Bachelor in Dietetics from the University of Pretoria I completed my Community Service year at a District Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal where my passion for helping people was cemented. I then moved to Cape Town with my husband and dog (Archie), to build a life that includes great food, meeting and working with different and interesting people, and lots of time spent outdoors. I believe in creating a healthy lifestyle that consists of eating well, finding exercise that works for you, developing ways to take care of your psychological and emotional state, as well as cultivating a happy and peaceful relationship with food. I believe that there is power in the simplicity of getting back to basics. Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be they food” is the ethos that has stood the test of time, and is one that I believes in sharing with my clients in a simple, and practical way, emphasizing variety, balance, and inclusivity of all foods.
