Hi! My name is Ash

After completing my Bachelor degree Dietetics at the University of Pretoria, I moved to KwaZulu-Natal to work at a district hospital where my passion for working with mothers and children was cemented. I have gained considerable experience working in paediatric, neonatal, maternal and gynae wards.
I am passionate about making sure children, no matter how big or small grow up to flourish.

When it comes to adults, my approach is simple: progress not perfection. I believe that change does not happen overnight and want to empower you towards making healthier choices and offer you long term solutions that suit your needs. No one person is the same and therefore each person deserves an individual approach.

What is a Dietitian?

While your first thought might be weight-loss experts, you're not entirely wrong. Although obesity is one of the most prevalent nutrition-related conditions that we treat, it is definitely not all.

Dietitians are expertly trained and qualified in the science of nutrition as well as how to use nutrition therapy in various medical conditions or for general healthy living.

Dietitians are qualified to provide nutrition therapy for the following conditions and diseases:  malnutrition,  heart diseases and certain blood disorders, diabetes (type 1 and 2), liver diseases,  kidney diseases, cystic fibrosis,  food allergies and intolerances, eating disorders, gut related disorders such as IBS, Crohns, Ulcerative colitis, diarrhoea, constipation and much much more.
